Swapping the mild southern hemispheric climate of Chile for the damp unpredictability of the UK, Cata Diaz spent the second half of 2024 exploring her new home of London, whilst also dedicating time to traversing the midlands and the north.
Never one to be deterred by trivial things such as sub-zero conditions or relentless travelling, within a handful of months, Cata had accumulated a solid two minutes worth of footage, and - after being impressed by her Drafts series - recruited Hilda Quick to take on the role of editor. From her base in Leeds, Hilda has since carefully crafted the resulting HPX haul into Claritea, an all new section which has been released online as an accompaniment to Cata's recent interview in Grey. Furthermore, the whole part is tied together with animated titles that are the handiwork of Welcome Skate Store and Short Straw's very own Izzy Almond!
Alongside Hilda, clips were contributed towards Claritea by Dominic Chambers, Chris Emery, Tristan Tutak, Nick Richards, Michael Boardman, William Boardman and Josh Hallett. Also, keep an eye out for guest appearances from Connie Gascoyne, Alice Smith and Ben Larkins.
