Headz by Harrison Woolgar

Harrison 'Yarris' Woolgar did his leg a serious mischief last year, and instead of dwindling away the downtown waiting to fully recover, he picked up his VX and decided to spend nine solid months documenting the skateboarding taking place around him in his native Brighton. The resulting video Headz (not to be confused with 1999 NYC video Heads by RB Umali) dropped earlier today via the good folks over at Vague, and I don't think I could suggest a better way to pass 34 minutes of your Tuesday evening.

Yarris is one passionate individual who, with Headz, has managed to blend together elements of everything he holds dear - the soundtrack, the Mo-Wax inspired title, the VX, the heavy use of the fisheye, the editing choices... yes, it's a Brighton scene video, but from start to finish, what you are watching serves as a window into Yarris' aesthetic driven inner-workings. It also doesn't hurt that Yarris' crew are undoubtedly some of the finest stunt-practitioners out there right now, including Albie Edmonds, Diggs English, Evan Johnson, Blinky, Cal Dawson, Tarjei Thomassen, Henry Bailey, Dougie George, Michael Tarry, Dan Fisher Eustance, Al Hodgson and various others.

If you've previously enjoyed any of Al Hodgson's always incredible O.W.L productions, you'll know that this crew are always on the hunt for new terrain, and that's something that Yarris has expanded upon further with Headz. Expect to see all of your favorite pieces of staple terrain from around Brighton, but be prepared to encounter some gems you’ve probably yet to discover, and some hidden residential spots you probably never will.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. Waste no time in getting to grips with Headz below, grab a copy of the new Vague to enjoy the accompanying article, and go listen to Yarris' amazing mixes over Totally Wired Radio to inject some Sussex into your day whenever you please.
