The long awaited Concreate built skatepark in Newtownabbey, north Belfast, is now complete and set to be officially opened this coming Saturday, May 7th.
The £750,000 facility is located at a site beside the Valley Leisure Centre, and at 14,000sq ft in size, is one of the largest outdoor concrete parks of its type in the UK and Ireland.
The opening celebrations are due to kick off at 9am on Saturday, with demos featuring the heavy-hitting trio of Jake Collins, Ben Broyd and Sam Pulley who are flying over especially for the occasion, and a pop-up stand from local skate retailer Sole.lo.
If you're in the local area - or able to get to Belfast in time for the weekend - be sure to head down and give Newtownabbey skatepark the inaugural session it deserves!
