Out of Touch - all new Cambridge scene video

Cambridge is certainly experiencing something of a renaissance lately. Hot on the heels of the release of the 2022 book A Brief History of Cambridge Skateboarding, yesterday saw the uploading of Out of Touch, an all-new 24 minute scene by the multitalented skateboarder/filmer/photographer/editor Charlie Foulkes.

Produced over an 18-month period between February 2022 and August 2023, Out of Touch was filmed purely within the confines of Cambridge, and features new footage from the likes of Leo Stewart, Louis Nixon, Joe Lewis, Charlie Foulkes himself, and a strong turnout of friends.

In keeping with the 'out of touch' theme that becomes evident not long after you've pressed the play button, the whole video has been filmed on a Canon XM2, a DV number that you'd frequently find in the early-to-mid 2000s, which is the era where the video appears to be emotionally anchored.

Anyway, all praise to Charlie and the Cambridge crew for getting this one together - see for yourself what the current day scene in the city looks like below!
